An actuarial valuation of Kent Pension Fund (the Fund) is carried out every 3 years. The last valuation was completed by Barnett Waddingham as at 31 March 2016, view the valuation results (PDF, 1.1 MB). This report includes details about
- the methods and assumptions used to evaluate the Fund
- the valuation results
- the employers’ contribution rates and adjustments which are set for the following 3 years.
The next actuarial valuation was due as at 31 March 2019 with the results effective from 1 April 2020, which are expected to be available in Autumn 2019.
On 27 June 2019, the Supreme Court denied the Government’s request for an appeal in the McCloud case in respect of age discrimination and pension protection.
