The Actuary report

The Fund actuary will produce a report to calculate and certify the employer contribution rate that you will be required to pay expressed as a percentage of payroll.

In order to commission an actuary report, the employer must complete a data capture (XLSX, 20.9 KB) for the staff involved. Please send this to investments.team@kent.gov.uk once completed.

All staff that are in, or have an entitlement to be in the LGPS, must be brought into the LGPS by the new employer on the day of the transfer. They can then opt out if they wish although they must not be coerced into doing so. View information about opting out for members.

Staff with a contract of employment of less than 3 months who are not automatically brought into the LGPS are the exception. It they wish to join they must opt in. View information about joining the Scheme for members. Staff age 75 or older are not entitled to be in the LGPS.
