Depending on when you joined the Police Officers Pension Scheme, you will be a member of either the 1987, 2006 or 2015 Schemes. Kent County Council administers the Kent Police Officer Schemes on behalf of The Chief Constable for Kent.
The State pension is paid in addition to your Police pension. The Government made changes to the State pension from April 2016. Find more information about the April 2016 reform at GOV.UK.
If you are a serving officer and are considering retirement more than 6 months in advance of today’s date, or have multiple dates of retirement in mind, please use the Police Pensions Calculator to provide an estimate of your benefits. Please note the calculator is not a replacement for a formal pension estimate.
If you are within 6 months of your retirement date you are encouraged to request a formal estimate from Kent Police Payroll. They will send details to the Pension Section. The formal estimate will be calculated and sent to your home address within 15 working days of receipt of all correct information.
