This website is covered by this privacy policy. The external web pages and websites linked to it are not covered by this privacy policy.

Your information will only be held for as long as is necessary for these purposes.  It will not be passed on to any third parties. The only exceptions to this are in the undertaking of our statutory requirements as an administering authority of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and as a Local Authority.

Explanation of technical terms

Browser

A browser displays pages from the web via a software application and allows you to move from one web page to another by clicking hyperlinks. Popular browsers include Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Firefox.

Cookie

A cookie is a small text file sent to your computer via your web browser. Cookies store information about you so that a website can remember you. Typical uses include allowing you to log into a website, use a shopping basket and remember your user preferences.

Google Analytics

An Internet Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g. computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses the internet for communication. IP addresses are binary numbers but they are usually stored in text files and displayed in notations which we can read, such as 172.16.254.1.

Search engines typically provide a web page where you can search for documents that meet certain criteria. Popular search engines include Google, Yahoo! and Windows Live Search.

Website traffic
