The statutory regulations that the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) are bound by are the 2013 regulations.
Schedule 2 Part 1 Number 20
“A proprietor of an Academy within the meaning of section 579 (general interpretation) of the Education Act 1996(i) who has entered into Academy arrangements within the meaning of section 1 (Academy arrangements) of the Academies Act 2010(j).”
This is part of the legislation that allows an academy to join the Kent Pension Fund as a scheduled body if you meet the criteria. There is no need to apply for admission or make a resolution to join.
