If you:
- change your post within the same employer, and
- you do not have a break in service,
your Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) membership is continuous.
Your employer determines if your change of job is a change of post or a change of employment.
If they determine it is a change of employment, they send us leaver and starter paperwork. This means your pension account ends and a new pension account starts. Find out about aggregating pension records
