Survivor's pension is not payable

The calculation of a child's survivor pension is different depending on how many eligible children there are.

The pension is payable as long as they remain eligible children and will increase in line with the cost of living.

1 child

1 child would receive 1/240th of your annual assumed pensionable pay in each scheme year from 1 April 2014, enhanced to your normal pension age

Plus

1/240th of your final salary pensionable pay times your total membership built up to 31 March 2014.

2 or more children

2 or more children would receive 1/120th of your annual assumed pensionable pay in each scheme year from 1 April 2014, enhanced to your normal pension age

Plus

1/120th of your final salary pensionable pay times your total membership built up to 31 March 2014, shared equally between them.
