You will need specific information about your Local Government Pension Scheme benefits for divorce/dissolution purposes, including judicial separation or nullity.
Complete the divorce/dissolution of a civil partnership request form for this information, which will include the Cash Equivalent Value (CEV) of your pension rights. The court may take this value into account in your settlement.
The implementation charges will be recovered from you and/or your ex-spouse or ex-civil partner in accordance with the Schedule of charges for divorce procedures
We must use factors provided by the Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) for calculations. These factors can change from time to time.
Pension Sharing Order
On finalising your divorce or dissolution you may agree, through the Court, to a Pension Sharing Order.

Beneficiaries for lump sum death grant
We recommend that you review your nominated beneficiaries for payment of any lump sum death grant. Ensure they are up to date, especially if you have previously nominated your ex-spouse/ex-civil partner. You can do this on MyPension Online. Create an account or log in to MyPension Online If you are over 75, no lump sum is payable on your death therefore you do not need to review your nominated beneficiaries.
