Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)

Information about the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for individuals who:

  • are thinking of joining the Scheme;
  • are a current member paying into the LGPS;
  • have stopped paying in but have not reached retirement age, and have deferred benefits held in the Fund with us, or
  • are in receipt of a pension from us.

The State pension is paid in addition to your LGPS pension. You can find information about your State pension at GOV.UK.
