2021 deferred benefit statements will be posted to home addresses at the beginning of August.
If you leave or opt out of the LGPS with more than 2 years membership, you are entitled to deferred benefits. Find out about the leaver process
Your benefits are held in the LGPS until either:
- you decide to transfer them to another pension arrangement, or
- they are due to be paid.
Your deferred benefits increase each year with the cost of living. We send a deferred benefit statement to your home address every summer. It tells you the value.
If you are entitled to deferred benefits, you cannot receive a refund of your contributions. If you have less than 2 years membership in the scheme, you may be entitled to a refund. We will write to you to let you know.
Please let us know if you change your address. Complete the change of address form
